Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (WUST) is one the best technical universities in Poland – approx. 22 000 students study here under the guidance of 2192 academic teachers, at 13 Faculties in Wroclaw and 3 branches in Jelenia Gora, Legnica and Walbrzych.

Lower Silesia is one of the most economically developed regions in Poland and it combines the cultural heritage of 3 countries (Poland, Czechia, Germany). The capital of this well-connected region is Wrocław, the fourth largest city in Poland. Today, it is one of the most important and modern industrial and financial hubs of the country and a large academic centre.
Wrocław is called the Polish Silicon Valley. The international giants of the IT industry have their headquarters here. New development and research centres are constantly being established and their employees include students, scientists and graduates of Wrocław Tech. Our university is therefore an extremely important part of the region’s economy and affects the technologies developed here. This is partly a result of the European standards of teaching and research conducted by the university employees.
The world-class level of scientific research and excellent equipment in laboratories result in cooperation with many Polish and foreign companies. All of this allows students to receive a degree recognised across the European Union, design study path and choose speciality, do stimulating and rewarding research on new technologies such as: nanotechnology, biotechnology, electro communications, teleinformatics and information systems, as well as gain valuable experience and technical background.
